Tucker has pursued this score for over two years, as a way of continuing its legacy of leadership and raising the standards for all aspects of the freight transportation business, by rewarding carriers who outperform their peers.
SmartWay is an EPA initiative that represents environmentally cleaner, more fuel-efficient transportation options. SmartWay carriers have identified methods for reducing transportation-related emissions. Carriers in the SmartWay program are utilizing commercially available fuel-saving strategies and are actively evaluating the latest emerging technologies.
Currently, Tucker awards more the 70% of its customer’ freight to SmartWay carriers.
