HADDONFIELD, NJ. — July 8, 2026 –
Tucker Company Worldwide, the oldest privately held freight brokerage in North America and celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, has become one of the first companies to achieve TAPA Freight Broker Security Requirements (FBSR) certification at the Tier 1 level, the highest tier available under the standard.
The TAPA Freight Broker Security Requirements standard was introduced to provide a structured security framework for freight brokers that arrange transportation without owning trucks, warehouses, or other physical transportation assets. For shippers managing high-value, high-security, temperature-controlled, and other sensitive freight, the standard helps establish documented expectations around carrier qualification, communication protocols, operational governance, and supply-chain risk reduction.
“As cargo theft and supply-chain fraud become increasingly sophisticated, shippers need logistics partners that can demonstrate exactly how their freight is being protected,” said
Jeff Tucker, CEO of Tucker Company Worldwide. “Achieving TAPA FBSR certification at the T1 level validates the disciplined security practices our team follows every day and reinforces our responsibility to protect our customers’ most critical shipments.”
The certification provides independent confirmation that Tucker maintains documented processes designed to identify vulnerabilities, qualify transportation partners, and reduce security risks throughout the shipment lifecycle. It further strengthens the company’s long-standing focus on managing freight, where failure is not an option.
“TAPA FBSR certification is more than a credential; it is a framework for operational accountability,” said Leigh Baker, Vice President of Quality and Security at Tucker Company Worldwide. “Our team has worked diligently to formalize, execute, and continuously improve the safeguards behind every critical shipment we manage. This achievement reflects that commitment across our entire organization.”
By adding TAPA FBSR certification to its ISO 9001:2015 certification and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) accreditation, Tucker has established a differentiated framework encompassing security, quality, and pharmaceutical supply-chain compliance. Together, these independently evaluated credentials reinforce the disciplined processes behind the company’s management of critical, high-value, and sensitive freight.
Celebrating its 65th anniversary, Tucker Company Worldwide is the oldest privately held freight brokerage in North America. The company specializes in managing critical freight, including temperature-controlled, oversized, high-value, high-security, and other complex shipments.
