HADDONFIELD, N.J. – June 1, 2024 –
Tucker Company Worldwide, the oldest privately held freight brokerage in North America, has been selected as an
Inbound Logistics’ Green Supply Chain Partner for 2024 in the publication’s “G75” special issue. Tucker continues to advance its sustainability initiative,
Carbon NetZero, helping shippers reclaim up to 100% of their greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and achieve significant, verifiable environmental results.
"Sustainability in the logistics industry has been a core focus of Tucker’s for many years. We are thrilled that the industry is putting green initiatives at the forefront and are honored to be recognized as a Green Supply Chain Partner for the second year in a row." - Jeff Tucker
Tucker launched the Carbon NetZero program in 2023, providing a customizable solution for reducing Scope 3 emissions by restoring carbon through reforestation in partnership with reputable Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). This program enables shippers to reach their ESG goals with cost-effective options. Tucker’s team calculates estimated CO2 and GHG emissions on a shipment basis and allows customers to offset these emissions in 25% increments based on their budget and sustainability objectives. One hectare of the Amazon Forest will offset 400 metric tons of CO2 generated from freight transportation.
Recognized as a
SmartWay partner for fifteen consecutive years, Tucker leverages SmartWay resources and tools to reduce energy costs, optimize environmental impact, and ensure a greener future.
